Focus: PR #894 review pivot and next audit opportunity

Current status¶

PR #894 is open for issue #790. It adds a Home Settings shortcut and keeps the exposed options limited to Printer and Encryption, but maintainer review questioned whether that permanent Home item is worth the attention cost.
PR #879 remains the completed contrast lane. The Amigo info-panel contrast finding stays as a hardware-guided follow-up.
The navigation audit now separates three states: touch-target evidence to keep watching, #790 as a tested but likely parked shortcut, and larger menu-flow questions that still need design work.
Maintainers asked for a short list of audit findings or opportunities they can help prioritize. That is the next planning task after responding clearly on PR #894.

What I am watching¶

The main thing this week is scope control. I rechecked the flow behind #790: Printer is already available before login through Settings > Hardware > Printer, and Encryption is already available through Settings > Encryption. Those changes use the normal stored settings path. That means PR #894 mostly helps the narrower case where someone has already loaded a wallet and wants to avoid restarting.

I am treating the next lane as a design choice before it is an implementation task. Some findings can become code directly. Others need a short design note, example screen, review checklist, or device-testing plan first.

Respond to review feedback on PR #894 and be clear that closing or parking it is fine if the fallback case is too narrow.
Keep the PR wording and screenshots focused on what was tested, not as proof that the shortcut must ship.
Prepare a short prioritized list of audit findings/opportunities for maintainer input.
Turn the selected opportunity into the smallest useful next step: a PR, design note, example screen, review plan, or device-testing pass.
